Anne de Bretagne
June 30th — September 30th 2007
HISTORY AND MYTH
The Breton duchess and two-time Queen of France, Anne de Bretagne (1477-1514), is the most renowned and popular character in the Château. She owes the better part of her fame to the legend built up around her by both Bretons and the French. What made this exhibition original was the juxtaposition of the path her life took alongside all the images of the monarch that have flourished over the centuries.
This exhibition was recognized as being of national importance by the Ministry of Culture and Communication.
