Courtyard, rampart walk and moat gardens, entrance free.
On the first Sunday of every month, except July and August, every day for under 18 and during major events (Heritage days, Museum at night, Nuit du VAN), the admission to the museum and the temporary exhibitions is free.

Pass Musées
With the “Pass Musées” museum pass, you can visit the Musée d’histoire de Nantes (in the Château des ducs de Bretagne), the Muséum d’histoire naturelle, the Musée d’arts de Nantes, the Musée Jules Verne, and Le Chronographe (in Rezé), with no time limit for an entire year – and all for only €15.
Valid for one person, you can (re)discover all the city’s museums, and return to the many exhibitions offered all year long. In addition to free access to the permanent and temporary collections, it also offers holders a discount on guided tours, as well as at the castle’s gift shop/bookstore, and the online shop (5% off books and 10% off objects).
